Bonifatiusklooster (1929-1980)

De oude fabrikantenwoning die op deze driesprong stond werd in 1929 in opdracht van het kerkbestuur omgebouwd en uitgebreid met twee vleugels tot klooster voor de Broeders van Liefde. Het gebouw kreeg de naam Bonifatiusklooster. De broeders gingen les geven aan de bijzondere jongensscholen in Kaatsheuvel. De Broeders van Liefde bleven 36 jaar in Kaatsheuvel. In 1965 namen ze afscheid, waarbij ze konden terugkijken op een periode waarin mooie resultaten waren bereikt. Zo hadden zij niet alleen een grote bijdrage op het gebied van het onderwijs geleverd, maar ook de sport en het sociaal cultureel leven in Kaatsheuvel ontwikkeld. Daarna zou het gebouw tot 1980 dienst doen als verzorgingshuis, genaamd St. Janshof. In 1981 verrees op dit markante punt het huidige appartementencomplex ‘De Vaertkant’.

Boniface Monastry (1929-1980)

The old manufacturer's house that stood on this crossroad was converted in 1929 by order of the church council and expanded with two wings to form a monastery for the Brothers of Charity. The building was named Boniface Monastery. The brothers started teaching at the special boys' schools in Kaatsheuvel. The Brothers of Charity stayed in Kaatsheuvel for 36 years. In 1965 when they left they could look back on a period in which they had made a major contribution in the field of education, sports and social cultural life of the town. The building went on to serve as a nursing home, called St. Janshof until 1981 when the current apartment complex "De Vaertkant" was erected in this key position.

La antigua casa del fabricante que se encontraba en este cruce fue reconvertida en 1929 por orden del concilio de la iglesia y ampliada con dos alas para formar un monasterio de los Hermanos de la Caridad. El edificio recibió el nombre de Monasterio de Bonifacio. Los hermanos comenzaron a enseñar en las escuelas especiales para niños en Kaatsheuvel. Los Hermanos de la Caridad permanecieron en Kaatsheuvel durante 36 años. En 1965 se despidieron, donde pudieron recordar un período en el que se habían logrado buenos resultados. No solo habían hecho una contribución importante en el campo de la educación, sino que también habían desarrollado la vida deportiva y sociocultural en Kaatsheuvel. Después de eso, el edificio serviría como hogar de ancianos hasta 1980, llamado St. Janshof. En 1981, el actual complejo de apartamentos "De Vaertkant" se erigió en este punto sorprendente.
